“Some of the Sisters that were there come to mind......Srs. Veronica, Celine, Henry, Jo Anna, Eugenie, Paschal, Rita Mary and Macurius. Mother Florentine was the superior. Bill Barrett and Bill St Marie were the prefects at various times and were addressed as 'Coach'. The large playground was referred to as the 'Diamond'. There was an Outhouse at the far end of the 'Diamond' and a 'Shelter' which was always referred to as 'The Shed' much to the unhappiness of Mother Florentine. Father Patrick Killeen was the chaplain who was also the pastor of our Lady of Sorrows in Essex.” Tim MacDonald. MSJ, 1941 to 1946

“The classes were doubled up, First & Second, Third & Fourth, Fifth & Sixth, Seventh & Eighth. There were twelve Sisters who also had other responsibilities in addition to teaching such as hair cutting, supervisors in the Dinning room, playground and Game room when it rained or was too dark to go out, baths and getting the children ready for bed and up in the morning. The kitchen and laundry was also staffed by the Sisters. A Mr. Sullivan was the 'Boiler room' man. The farm was run by Martin, Marty and Ziggy. The two work horses were named, 'Johnny' and 'Betsy'. There were about 45 milking cows and 150 sheep and the house dog was named, 'Queenie' a collie.” Tim MacDonald. MSJ, 1941 to 1946
